Abel Rojas

Mr. Abel Rojas serves as the General Director of the Caribbean Industrial Park (CIP). In his role, Rojas has been instrumental in promoting CIP’s facilities and competitive advantages to attract foreign investment and drive industrial development in the region. He has also participated in academic initiatives, serving as Vice-Chancellor for University–Industry Relations at the Technological University of Santiago (UTESA), where he has collaborated on research related to human talent development and its alignment with current and future labor market demands.

Mr. Rojas is also a professor at the Technological University of Santiago, Santiago Campus, in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences. He has taught subjects including Research Methodology, Principles of Economics, Microeconomics, Project Evaluation, Accounting Thesis, and Capstone Project.

He has held various executive and administrative positions within the UTESA Corporate System, as well as in numerous institutions both inside and outside the university system. These roles include: General Director, General Manager, Marketing Manager, Project Director, General Administrator, Director of Fundraising, Treasurer, Project Evaluator, Senior Consultant, General Advisor, Economic Advisor, and Business Representative.

Mr. Rojas has submitted investment and community development projects to nearly all formal financial institutions in the Dominican Republic, as well as to numerous international financial entities and NGOs.

He currently serves as Director of Scientific Production and Dissemination, Vice-Rector for University–Industry Projects, and Vice-Chancellor for University–Industry Projects.
